Did you know that today is National Get To Know Your Customer Day? Of course, everyday at LHP is get to know your customer day, and I feel so blessed to know all of the wonderful people that I cross paths with.

My mission at Light & Hope Photography is to build relationships, and provide service with a heart. I love sitting down with potential clients, and booked clients to talk about their story. With my high school seniors I love hearing all the fun stories they’ve experienced during their high school years such as accomplishments, to struggles, to this whole new season of transition, and the future. They’re always so fun, and full of energy, and it brings something new to each senior I photograph.

Groundhog Mountain Blueridge Parkway Engagement Session

One of my favorite things during an engagement session is to hear the story of how my couples got together. After they went back, and fourth over who would tell the story, they went in together to tell this one.  Harlie, and Tyler both went to the same elementary school, and of course she had a crush on him, and it turns out he had one on her too, but they never talked. Harlie ended up moving to a different school. The years passed, and she ended up seeing him pop up on her social media, and she knew exactly who he was. After four days of Snapchatting, and texting, they finally went on their first date together at a local restaurant, Chili Rojo. After they met there, they went to the movies, and ever since then they have been inseparable.

I cannot tell you what an honor it was to photograph their sweet engagement. I hope you enjoy these images!

Mabry Mill Blueridge Parkway Senior Session

You may have seen Karlie, in a few posts last year when she modeled for a styled session with me. Today, I am so excited to bring you her senior session, and though she may be small, she has the biggest heart, and sweetest smile. We wanted to choose a location that fits her personality so well, she loves anything country, all the colors of fall, and wanted to get her boyfriend, Nick into a few of these too. Mabry Mill in Virginia was the perfect location, not only does it embrace all things country, but has that romantic feel too. The forecast that day called for clear skies, when I was 2 miles away from the shoot location, everything was covered in thick, thick fog, and misting. At first, I admit, I had a mini-panic, but quickly became excited at what we could create with this weather.
